Random number
Overview
The Random number node generates a random integer within a configured range on each flow execution. It provides dynamic input for testing and simulation purposes.
Use Random number when:
- You need to simulate unpredictable numeric inputs for testing flow stability.
- You want to randomize flow parameters across multiple executions.
⚠️ Warning
Ensure that Maximal limit value is always greater than or equal to min_limit to avoid generation errors.

Minimal limit value
The lower bound for the generated random number.
Maximal limit value
The upper bound for the generated random number. This value must be at least 1.
Example
Simulating sensor jitter
To test how a flow handles fluctuating sensor data, a Random number node is used to inject small, random variations into a numeric value.
Configuration:

10
Result: A different integer between 0 and 10 is generated for every flow pass.
